US Program Executive to Visit UCC General Synod

The United Church of Christ (UCC) is preparing for the largest general synod in its history, concurrent with the church’s 50th anniversary this year. The theme for the conference is “Let it Shine – the UCC at 50 Years.”
Rev. Deborah DeWinter, the WCC Program Executive for the US, will represent the US Conference and the WCC at the synod, which will be held in Hartford, Connecticut on June 22-26. More information about the synod is available at www.ucc.org/50.
Sen. Barack Obama, a member of the UCC, will also be attending the synod.
